1. Who We Are

WE-HAUL-IT is a roll-off dumpster rental and waste hauling business based in Gibbon, Nebraska. WE-HAUL-IT serves Buffalo, Hall, and Adams counties — covering Gibbon, Kearney, Ravenna, Grand Island, Minden, Cairo, Kenesaw, and the surrounding towns within a 30-mile radius.

This privacy policy applies to every way a customer might interact with the business — the website at we-haul-it.com, the online booking system at /cart, phone calls, emails, and in-person delivery.

2. Information We Collect

WE-HAUL-IT collects only what’s needed to deliver dumpsters, communicate with customers, and run a small local business. Customer information is never sold.

Information You Provide Directly

When booking a dumpster, sending a message through the contact form, or calling, customers may provide:

• Name (and business name, if applicable)
• Phone number and email address
• Service address where the dumpster will be delivered
• Billing address (if different from the service address)
• Project details — what’s being tossed, dates the bin is needed, placement notes
• Payment information (handled through a third-party payment processor)

Information Collected Automatically

When a visitor uses the website, basic technical data is logged:

• IP address and approximate geographic location (city or region level)
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages visited, time spent on each page, and how the visitor arrived
• Referral URL (the site that linked to we-haul-it.com, if any)
• Date and time of the visit

Information from Third Parties

If a customer finds WE-HAUL-IT through Google, the Google Business Profile may share basic interaction data — clicks to call, clicks to website, direction requests. Google review information (public profile name and review text) is also received when customers leave a review.

3. How Information Is Used

Customer information is used for these purposes only:

• Service delivery — scheduling, route planning, address verification, payment processing
• Communication — booking confirmations, delivery updates, pickup reminders, invoices
• Customer support — answering questions, resolving issues, processing refunds
• Service improvement — understanding which areas are busiest, when demand peaks, where website traffic comes from
• Legal compliance — meeting Nebraska DOT requirements (DOT# 2005644NE), tax reporting, lawful requests
• Fraud prevention — identifying and preventing fraudulent transactions or service abuse

4. When Information Is Shared

Information is shared only when needed to deliver service. Three categories of recipients:

Service Providers

A small number of third-party tools run alongside the business. These providers handle data on WE-HAUL-IT’s behalf and are limited by contract to using information only for their assigned service:

• Payment processor — handles credit card and ACH payments. Full credit card numbers are never stored on WE-HAUL-IT systems.
• Website hosting — the company hosting we-haul-it.com processes server logs and basic visitor data.
• Email and phone services — providers handling the office@we-haul-it.com inbox and the (308) 440-3536 phone line.
• Mapping and routing — tools used to plan delivery routes and verify service addresses.
• Analytics — tools that show aggregate site traffic patterns (Google Analytics or similar).

Legal Requirements

Information may be disclosed when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the safety of employees, customers, or the public. Examples: a court order, a subpoena, or a clear emergency.

Business Transfers

If WE-HAUL-IT is sold, merges with another business, or undergoes a significant ownership change, customer information may transfer to the new owner as part of that transaction. Customers will be notified before their information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Cookies & Tracking

The website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep things working and to understand how visitors use the site:

• Essential cookies — required for booking forms, the cart at /cart, and basic navigation
• Analytics cookies — anonymous data about page views, time on site, and traffic sources
• Functional cookies — remember preferences (like a previously entered service address) for return visits

Most browsers let visitors block or delete cookies through settings. Blocking essential cookies will break booking and contact forms.

WE-HAUL-IT does not use third-party advertising cookies and does not run retargeting campaigns. Browser-level “Do Not Track” signals are honored where technically feasible.

6. Data Security & Retention

Reasonable steps are taken to protect customer information:

• HTTPS encryption for all website communications
• Secure payment data handling through a PCI-compliant processor
• Employee access limited on a need-to-know basis

That said, no electronic transmission or storage method is one hundred percent secure. Customers are encouraged to use strong, unique passwords for any account created with the payment processor.

Retention timeline: Customer information is kept as long as needed to provide service, comply with legal obligations (tax records typically retained seven years under Nebraska and federal law), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. After that, information is securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Customers have these rights regarding their personal information:

• Access — request a copy of the information WE-HAUL-IT has on file
• Correction — ask for inaccurate or outdated information to be fixed
• Deletion — ask for information to be deleted, subject to legal retention obligations
• Marketing opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any email
• Text message opt-out — reply STOP to any text message to opt out of further texts

Nebraska does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law equivalent to those in California or Virginia, but WE-HAUL-IT extends these rights to all customers regardless of state.

8. Children’s Privacy

WE-HAUL-IT services are intended for adults eighteen and over who can enter into a binding rental agreement. Personal information is not knowingly collected from children under thirteen.

If WE-HAUL-IT learns that information has been collected from a child under thirteen, it will be deleted promptly. Parents who believe a child has provided information should email office@we-haul-it.com.

9. Updates to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the business or applicable law changes. Material changes will be marked with a new “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

For significant changes affecting how information is used, additional notice will be provided — typically by email if an address is on file, or by a prominent notice on the website.

Continued use of WE-HAUL-IT services after a policy update means acceptance of the updated terms. Anyone who disagrees with a change can stop using the services and request information deletion at any time.
